The article gives a working a definition the concept of al literacy. According to the results of the study, four components of mathematical literacy were identified. The formation of each component of mathematical literacy is determined by its structural features – formation of educational and cognitive competence, establishment of a link from different mathematic themes that are necessary for the solution of the task, mastering
the culture of mathematical speech, the use of mathematics to solve problems encountered in life situation. The formation of each components of mathematical literacy is determined by its structural features.
