Global Warming-related disinformation happens to be especially wide-spread in today’s world, particularly in conservative societies. Considering current climate trends, it is vital to act urgently as temperature raises exponentially, causing destructive consequences throughout the world. Yet despite such dramatic events ignorance abounds, which has been a roadblock that draws attention from the issue. This study aims to identify main causes, mechanisms, examples and actors of the problem, as well as consider probable solutions on the scale of Aktobe, Kazakhstan, as there have been both prevalent relevance in terms of changing climate conditions and extremely high levels of ignorance. An online survey and interviews were distributed to people of various age and background across Kazakhstan to test the hypothesis that ignorance depends on background, based on age and social status, as well as evaluate how ready are citizens of Aktobe ready for action. The findings showed various perspectives on the issue as well as many valuable pieces of advice and unique solutions. These findings indicated that older people tend to overlook the problem due to lack of critical thinking and general unwillingness to accept new ideas and values, that contradict to the ones that they had formed over decades. This data was used to propose potential solutions, like conducting classes with people of such background and conducting informational attacks through sources used by conservative people as well as fighting overflowing isinformation accordingly.
