Good day, dear pupils! I’m very glad to see you today! My name is Saule Tobylovna. I work in 18th school as English teacher. Today I’ll be your English teacher. Now I want to begin our lesson with the questions. How are you today?(peers answer) Read the questions in groups and answer. Questions: What is the value? What values do you know? Helping to each other is good value? Do you like music? Do you like listening to music? What kind of music do you like? Who is your favourite singer? What is your favourite group? What Kazakh singers do you know? What is your favourite song? Let’s say, peers, what about our lesson? (listen to the answers) Ok, look at the screen, please! Do you know this singer? Pay attention to the new words. What we value? Batyrkhan Shukenov (1962-2015) was famous musician*from Kazakhstan. When he was a young boy, he was really interested in music. At school, he was in a band*called Dostyk. He was the bass guitarist*. After school, in 1979, he was a student at a famous music institute in Russia. Batyrkhan was the lead singer* in the band A-Studio. In 1989, their song “Julia” was a big hit* in Kazakhstan and in Russia. The band was very popular. But Batyrkhan wasn’t just famous for his music. He was also a United Nations Children’s Fund* (UNICEF) Goodwill Ambassador* for Kazakhstan. UNICEF is a global organization. It helps children in many countries. In some countries*, children need more food to eat and clean water. In other countries there are wars and it’s very dangerous*. Children in these countries need a lot of help. But UNICEF helps some children in Kazakhstan too. During presenting group’s work every group give feedback to each group. Let’s present your poster, please.
