Lesson objectives

All learners will be able to:

  • understand the main points in short texts about ‘Places of Interest in London’;
  • name famous sightseeing in London using subject vocabulary from the text;
  • guess the words about travelling and complete the sentences of first conditionals

Most learners will be able to: 

  • define the main points in short texts about ‘Places of Interest in London’;
  • describe the pictures about famous sightseeing in London according to specific information from the text;
  • make few sentences with subject vocabulary using the structure of first conditionals.

Some learners will be able to:

  • analyse the key ideas from the text about London;
  • express own opinion with specific information to talk about London;
  • compile a short essay using the structure of first conditionals and specific information from the text.

  1. (P) Greetings! 

Strategy ‘Travel wishes ticket’ 

The teacher gives all students colorful (blue, pink and orange) travel tickets where they should write down their greetings and best wishes for your friend about travelling. Then they exchange their tickets with the partner and subdivide into three groups according to ticket color. 

Instruction:

        1.Write down greetings and the best wishes

            for your friends about travelling.

        2. Exchange your ticket with your partner.

        3. Subdivide into three groups according to ticket color.

   2. (W) Warming up!

      Viewing about ‘English London sightseeing’.

Instruction:

        1.Watch video about London.

        2.Define the theme of lesson.

Reflection. (P) Strategy ‘Think-Pair-Share’

The teacher asks students questions such as, ‘What did you learn during today’s lesson?’ or ‘What connections can you make to your own life based on what you have learned today?’ Give students a few minutes to think about these questions.
