Today in the lesson you will learn:

 Why does the English week start on Sunday?

Why are days of the week capitalized?

And find out the history of their origin

  According to the Bible, God created the world for 6 days, and on the 7th day (Saturday), he rested and ordered him to do the rest, according to which the first day of the week was Sunday.

So, why are the days of the week capitalized, the answer is very simple, they are all named after the ancient gods, and since these are the names of the gods, then you can’t write them with a small letter

Sunday- was named after the ancient Roman god of the sun

Monday - was named after the ancient Roman goddess of the moon

Tuesday-was named after the one-armed god Tür

Wednesday- was named after the supreme god in Germanic-Scandinavian mythology

Thursday was dedicated to the god Thor. God of thunder and storm.

Friday- was named after the goddess Frigga.

Saturday- was named after Saturn.

Children  today in the lesson we will go on a trip to a magical island ... On the way there, all kinds of adventures await us.

  Guys, a guest came to us today

He says, “Good morning!” Who is it?

- Yes, this is Peter Pan.

 He is going to make a trip to the fabulous fabulous island of Netland to the girl Wendy. But the Pirate - Captain Hook wants to stop Peter and constantly comes up with difficult trials for him.

To do this, we divided into 3 teams. Each team will have to work hard to complete all the tasks of Captain Hook. For each correct and quickly completed exercise, the team will receive a heart. The team that collects the most hearts will win.

Let's take a closer look at the map, guys, and see how we can help Peter.

First mission from Captain Hook:

I give you an envelope with letters, your task is to arrange the letters in the correct order.

If the task is completed correctly and quickly, then the team receives a heart. (Monday, Friday, Sunday)

Read and answer.

The second task:

 Open your pupil’s book, we need to do an exercise (21) at page 42.

 The team that reads well and gives the correct answer will receive a heart.

Lets sing a song

The third task:

And here is Captain Hook. Requires to sing a song

in English. That team that will sing beautifully and amicably will receive a heart.

That's Peter Pan at home. He thanks you guys for helping him. Let's count the number of hearts for each team.
