Newborn mortality is one of the most serious medical problems not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the whole world. To influence the situation, it is important to find the causes and solutions to the problem. To do this, a quantitative method (survey) and a search for information from secondary sources were performed. It was identified that the main reasons are the low level of care in medical institutions, irresponsibility of parents, diseases and other infections of the mother. The results of the study show that improving the quality of medical care and informing young mothers are effective solutions to the problem.
